This is a tribute to Yvonne's dear mother, Alice, who recently passed away on February 27 / 2009.
Keep me in your heart – an ode to Mom

I didn’t make it for my 75th birthday and that’s alright you know
I’m out there in a beautiful flower garden while you are still trudging in the snow
Today I want you all to celebrate my life and not my passing
I am in a better place where the sunshine is everlasting
I’m meeting old friends and relatives; I’m playing card games every night
I’m at rest now, so don’t worry about my plight
You’ve held me in your heart and there I will stay
Whenever you need me, just think of me and pray
For I am in the wind, the flowers that smell so sweet
I am in the music and in your dreams when you sleep
Whenever you are needing my guidance just call out and I will be there
For I will never leave you, I will always be in the air
Enjoy the laughter of the children, the quiet of the night,
The long summer evenings, the moon shining bright
The simple things you may do, enjoy them everyday
Don’t take one day for granted, for that may be taken away
Take care of your father for I love him so
Be there for him no matter where you go
Be there for each other too because family is the thing
That ties us all together and makes my heart sing
Life is for the living and you my dears must know
That I didn’t mean to leave you but it was my time to go…
